The new Burberry Body fragrance for women rocks pure and simple. I really like it and I can’t wait to buy it for my wife. Forget Dolce and Gabbana’s La Luna, Gucci Guilty it’s all about Burberry Burberry Burberry. And look who they chose to model it?? Rosie Huntington-Whitely! Like oh my God! She was the star of Transformers 3 and a Victoria Secrets model, so who better than to showcase the new fragrance which apparently is the first time in 155 years Burberry have launched a fragrance which connects to the whole brand.
The fragrance comes in several sizes but I’m going to buy the 85 ml for my wife to keep on the dressing table. I’ll also buy the 35 ml for my wife’s handbag so that she always has one in case she needs a boost. I think I might even buy the 60 ml for the mistress. The notes of fresh green absinthe, peach and freesia are pure heaven hmmm, yep that’s it I’m off to the Worldstore now.

Everyone loves bacon. Really, what’s not to love? It fulfills all the major food groups- crisp, salt and grease. And, it literally makes everything better. No matter how miserable you might feel in your new luxurious kitchen decked out in nice colourful glass splashbacks or receiveing loads of quotes from CD duplication salesmen or being pestered by equally annoying double glazing quotes salesmen. Don’t believe me? Here’s a bacon recipe for every meal of the day. Is it any wonder that the United States of America has one of the most obese populations in the world?
Bacon Stout for Breakfast
Yes, you read that correct. What’s better than bacon for breakfast? Bacon in beer, of course. We don’t fancy ourselves alcoholics over here so add a splash of coffee to take the edge off.
Don’t Forget the Chocolate Covered Bacon
What breakfast would be complete without chocolate? And what makes chocolate even better? That’s right ladies and gentlemen, B-A-C-O-N. Check out mariniscandies.com to order your box today!
A Quick Lunch at KFC
For an on-the-go bacon lunch head over to KFC for their new Double Down Sandwich. It’s like a BLT wrapped in fried chicken. WINNING! I have to tell you; I love bacon, I love chicken and I love cheese (I am after all, from Wisconsin). But when I saw the picture of KFC’s Double Down Sandwich, even I had to go “Whoa!” here it is:
- Two pieces of bacon
- Two slices of melted Monterey jack and pepper cheese
- Glob on some Colonel’s special sauce (the word ‘special’ in these always worries me)
- And instead of a bun, two Original Recipe chicken breasts (for you health conscious individuals, as if, you can have the chicken breasts grilled)
- Calories: 540, fat: 32 g; sodium 1380 mg
There you have it. KFC’s answer to, “how can I abuse my body today?” If you’re more the stay at home artery clogger, have I got the recipes for you!

The Main Course
You know you like it. In fact, you love it. And, you want more of it. It’s every bacon lovers masterpiece of greasy goodness. That’s right, it’s the Bacon Explosion. Not sure how to create your own? Check it out:
- Kansas City style sauce rubbed Italian sausage, smoked slowly over hickory and oak wood; no doubt to seal in all that… juice.
- Stuffed with bacon
- Wrapped in bacon
How popular is it? Let’s just say that after countless orders poured in they actually felt it necessary to expand the product (expand being the key word there) to 2 more versions of their product; you can now purchase a heat and eat Original Bacon Explosion in an additional Jalapeño or Cheese variety. Yes, cheese. Amazingly, they even sell it in its own little carrier/holder. The Bacon Explosion Pig-Porter. Wouldn’t want to add on all those carbs with a big old hot dog bun.
So stay home and ‘pig’ out or roll on out and take the bacon bus tour of your local restaurants. Either way, I’ll be seeing you in the ICU! You can have the bed right next to mine. We’ll order takeout!
There is an unknown secret in Britain known as Frinton-On-Sea. We were there this weekend soaking up the rays on the sandy beaches. We had the good fortune of knowing a friend who has a flat overlooking the sea. The town is very quiet with very little change. The service on Sunday was interesting, more interesting than that of Richmond-Upon-Thames with the priest criticising the collections by saying these were thin on the ground. He even said that the black clergy of South Africa come to the UK looking for money, given the parish in the UK are seen as the rich masters – what cheek! Then to add insult to injury, he gets the exchange rates wrong by saying the dollar is 3 rand whilst the UKP is 11 Rand. Hmm not sure if he quite got that right, otherwise the markets would be making a massive killing! It means I could get more than twice my dollars by doing it in SA. Still, the parish is no reflection on sunny funny Frinton on Sea.
We just had our kitchen done entirely in Glass thanks to a national company known as Inspired By Glass or Glass Splashbacks Ltd. It took the tradesmen less than a week to get it all fitted up and now our kitchen looks a dream. The colours we selected were lime green and turquoise (photo to be published shortly). The cost was pretty competitive also so a big thank you to the guys at Glass Inspirations!
So its Jan 2010, I resolve after all that christmas turkey that I’m going to get fit, do exercise, play more sports and order proper sports nutrition from U-Thrive. Come March 2010 (i.e. now), I find myself bored of going to my local gym and handing in my notice at the gym.
I’m sure we’ve all been through this, but I must say it was definitely worthwhile. I have less flab tyres, I look less fat in the face and guess what I actually feel better and get better sleep.
My wife might not like it when I get looks from other women, but it feels good! At least for my ego. So although I may not return to the gym until winter (this side of christmas) I will definitely take more jogs or long walks, play more sports, drink more whey protein shakes for optimal sports nutrition.
