It seems that as the internet grows as with internet usage, localised marketing is becoming more relevant as can be seen with this double glazing website I spotted during my lunch, Double Glazing Local which gives free non obligatory quotes to anyone afraid of the phone.

But will it work?  I don’t know, on the one hand yes people tend to hire local firms but then I’m sure many would be prepared to hire further afield if there are savings to be had.  It might mean more business for the online marketer if they can promise local leads from people searching on double glazing quotes but then – is IP tracking technology good enough?

Sure you ca use forms to segment by geography but that could hurt conversions.  I think localisation is on the increase but certain advances need to be made in technology if more businesses are to jump on the bandwagon.
